Countdown Timer
Run a single deadline-based countdown in this tab. It can pause, resume and optionally play a short local sound, but it is not a guaranteed background alarm.

Accepted duration: 00:05:00. The display rounds positive fractions up to the next second.
This is an open-page convenience timer, not a guaranteed alarm or scheduled reminder. Browser suspension, sleep, mobile policies, and system clock changes can delay callbacks or change this wall-clock countdown.
Duration
Maximum 24:00:00; minimum 00:00:01. Presets do not start the timer. Start when ready.
How it works
- Enter a duration up to 24 hours, or choose a preset. Starting is always a separate action.
- Pause stores the current remaining time; Resume starts a new deadline from that time. Restart uses the accepted duration in the fields.
- Use sound only if you want a local alert. Background suspension, sleep, closing or refreshing the page can delay or prevent it.
Timing rules
The timer uses a wall-clock deadline, so it reconciles after the tab returns to view rather than decrementing one second at a time. A positive fraction of a second displays as one second. Changing the device clock can therefore change the remaining time. Timer state is never saved after refresh.
