Graph Paper Generator

Create local vector square or dot-grid PDFs with measured spacing, margins, major lines and an optional 50 mm calibration line.

Your inputs stay in your browser.

One vector page, 50000 marks maximum. Spacing 1-50 mm equivalent, margins 0-50 mm. Maximum stroke/dot radius is inset from every grid edge. PDF/SVG preview use identical coordinates. Drafts stay in tab memory only; refresh clears them. Fonts are bundled locally; unsupported glyphs and unreadable text block export instead of disappearing.

How to use Graph Paper Generator

Choose A4/Letter, orientation, square/dot style and spacing in millimetres/inches. Margins start linked at 10 mm; use Link all margins to top after editing. Optional title and calibration bands reduce usable area. Generate, inspect the measured SVG preview, then download PDF or print at actual size.

Worked example

At 5 mm spacing, whole intervals fit inside the inset usable area. Every fifth line is a single major stroke, including index zero. Dot mode draws only dots, not major lines. 1 inch equals 25.4 mm.

Rules and limits

Spacing 1-50 mm equivalent; each margin 0-50 mm; title 80 code points in a 12 mm band. Minor strokes 0.1-1 pt, major 0.2-2 pt every 2-20 intervals. Dot radius 0.1-1 mm and less than half spacing. Grid inset equals half maximum stroke or dot radius; at least one interval per axis and at most 50000 marks. Leftover space stays right/bottom. White vector PDF, bundled font, no guarantee of printer scaling.
