JSON Comparison
Compare two strict JSON values locally and review exact structural differences. Your data stays in this browser and refresh clears it.
Compare two local JSON values structurally. Object key order is ignored; array order is significant. Inputs stay only in this browser tab and refresh clears them.

How to compare JSON
- Paste or choose two UTF-8 JSON documents, then choose the numeric comparison rule that suits your data.
- Compare to review added, removed and changed values by typed path. Inputs remain available if a document is invalid.
- Filter the report, copy it or download it as UTF-8 text.
Worked example
Comparing {"name":"Ada","active":true} with {"name":"Ada","active":false,"role":"admin"} reports the changed active value and added role. JSON object key order does not itself change the data.
Limits and rules
Only strict JSON is accepted. Comments, trailing commas and duplicate keys are rejected. Comparison is structural: arrays use their indices and objects use exact case-sensitive keys. Numeric settings are explicit so large identifiers and decimal tokens are not silently treated as equal. This is not a semantic schema validator or a JSON patch editor.
