How to use Printable Maze Generator
Choose rows/columns and paper, or Small/Medium/Large dimension presets. Generate explicitly. The preview selector shows the puzzle or solution from one stored maze. Export individual pages, a two-page combined PDF, textual coordinate solution or detailed JSON. Undo restores the preceding generation without another random draw.
Worked example
An 8 by 8 maze has 64 reachable cells and 63 internal passages. Enter through the top of cell (1,1) and leave through the bottom of (8,8). The solution follows shared open walls through cell centers, not a direct diagonal.
Rules and limits
5-50 rows/columns, at most 1600 cells, square printed cells at least 3 mm; wall stroke 0.3-1.5 pt, title 80 code points and at least 10 mm margins. Iterative unbiased cryptographic DFS builds a spanning tree; an independent BFS checks reachability and solves it. Exterior walls open only at the two fixed endpoints. Each shared wall draws once. Regeneration may repeat and dimensions are not a scientific difficulty rating.
