Printing Cost Calculator

Count printed sides and sheets for separate copies or a continuous stream, with explicit home or shop pricing and line-rounded totals.

Your inputs stay in your browser.

Pages 1-100000, copies 1-10000; derived page instances at most 1000000. Rates up to 10000 (six decimals), setup up to 1000000. Blank active prices leave cost unavailable; explicit zero is valid. No actual PDF is rearranged. Drafts stay in memory only; refreshing clears them. Processing and exports stay local.

How to use Printing Cost Calculator

Enter original pages, copies, N-up pages per side, sidedness and copy boundaries. Select Home/office or Print shop. Blank active prices leave the monetary total unavailable while counts remain usable. Paper/setup are separate only when enabled. Print the labelled planning estimate from an isolated text-only document, without the surrounding directory page.

Worked example

5 pages × 3 copies, duplex, one page/side and separate copies uses 15 printed sides and 9 sheets, with 3 unused side slots. Paper at 0.10 and ink at 0.05 gives 0.90 + 0.75 = 1.65.

Rules and limits

Pages 1-100000, copies 1-10000, derived instances at most 1000000; N-up 1/2/4/6. Rates 0-10000 with six decimals, setup 0-1000000, money total at most 1000000000. Each exact quantity × rate line rounds half-up to cents before summing. Continuous mode may mix copies on one side. This counts impressions/resources; it does not impose an actual PDF or provide a supplier quote, invoice or toner-yield guarantee.
