Split PDF

Extract pages, split by ranges, or save every page as its own PDF. Everything happens on your device.

Your PDF is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.

Drag a PDF here, or

One PDF, up to 50.0 MB and 300 pages.

How to split a PDF

  1. Choose or drag in one PDF. Page previews appear as you scroll.
  2. Pick a mode: extract selected pages, split by ranges, or one file per page.
  3. Tick pages or type ranges such as 1-3, 7, 10-12. Page numbers count from 1 in the document.
  4. Press the button, then download the PDF, each file, or everything as a ZIP.

Supported files

Ordinary, unencrypted PDFs. Password-protected PDFs, PDFs with interactive forms and digitally signed PDFs are not supported in this version. Pages are copied without resizing or recompression, but each result is a newly written file: bookmarks, attachments and tagging are not guaranteed to be kept. Your original file is never changed.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Your PDF is processed in your browser and is not uploaded. Nothing is saved after you close or reload the page.

What is the difference between the three modes?

Extract selected pages combines the pages you pick into one PDF. Split by ranges creates one PDF per range you write, for example 1-3, 7, 10-12 gives three files. One file per page creates a separate PDF for every page.

Can I reorder pages?

No. Extracted pages always keep their original order and each page is included once, even if you list it twice. Use the PDF merger to combine files in a different order.

Which PDFs can I split?

Ordinary, unencrypted PDFs without interactive form fields or digital signatures. Password-protected, form and signed PDFs are rejected with a clear message instead of being split incorrectly.

Will the pages keep their quality?

Pages are copied rather than turned into images, so selectable text, vector graphics, images, page sizes and rotation stay as they are. Bookmarks, attachments and tagging are not guaranteed to carry over, and each output may repeat shared fonts and images, so files can be larger in total than the original.

What are the limits?

One PDF up to 50.0 MB and 300 pages, creating at most 300 files and 150.0 MB in total.
