Manual wall-clock arithmetic

Timesheet & Work Hours Calculator

Total seven days of manually entered shifts, unpaid breaks and an optional weekly overtime threshold. Planning only—not payroll, a timeclock or a legal determination. Nothing uploads or persists.

Preparing your device-local Monday week…

How to calculate a week

  1. Choose a date; its Monday-based week displays. Today's week uses your device-local date, not UTC. Changing weeks preserves a one-step Undo snapshot.
  2. Add up to four shifts each date, use full 24-hour HH:mm, explicitly check Ends next day, and enter whole unpaid break minutes.
  3. Fix all incomplete or overlapping rows. Enable overtime only if you want arithmetic for your entered threshold. Copy, download a text report or print a clean table.

Worked examples and exact rules

09:00–17:00 with 30 minutes unpaid break = 8h gross, 7h 30m net. 22:00–06:00 requires Ends next day and also yields 7h 30m net with that break. Equal start/end means invalid unless next day is checked, then 24h gross. Break may equal gross for zero net but never exceed it.

Five 8h net shifts = 40h. At 42h net and an entered 40h threshold, regular is 40h and overtime 2h. Threshold accepts nonnegative whole hours/minutes up to 168h 00m; minutes 0–59. A zero threshold makes all net minutes overtime. No inferred daily, weekend, double-time, paid-break, holiday or contractual rules.

Authoritative totals use integer minutes. 1h 20m = approximately 1.33 decimal hours, not 1.20. Gross must be greater than zero and at most 24h. Partially entered/invalid rows never become zero-hour shifts; completely blank rows are ignored. Invalid or overlapping shifts make final exports unavailable; only explicitly labelled valid nonoverlapping subtotals show.

Allocation and limitations

Each shift belongs entirely to its start date and displayed week, including Sunday overnight time. Overlap uses civil-date minute indexes, not timezone timestamps, and includes breaks since their location is unknown. Adjacent endpoints are allowed. An overnight shift can overlap the next day's shift. Other weeks are not loaded or historically audited.

Wall-clock arithmetic does not correct daylight-saving transitions. Adjust manually or use a timezone-aware system for actual elapsed time. No rates/currency, employees, automatic tracking or calendar integration. Print excludes navigation and ads; disable browser-added headers/footers. Clear day/week and Remove preserve one-step Undo. Refresh clears entries.
