UUID Generator

Generate random version-4 UUIDs locally, preserve identifier values while changing case, and export complete batches.

Your inputs stay in your browser.

Generate 1-10,000 random version-4 UUIDs explicitly. No seed or remote service; no fallback to Math.random. A prior batch stays labelled as previous while you edit the count. New generation and Clear can be undone. Drafts stay in memory only; refreshing clears them. Processing and exports stay local.

Enter values or try an example, then choose Calculate / Generate.

How to use UUID Generator

Choose 1-10,000 UUIDs and Generate explicitly. Change presentation case without regenerating, select any individual identifier by its batch number, or copy/download the complete text or JSON batch. Another generation replaces the batch with Undo; invalid count edits preserve the labelled prior batch.

Worked example

A UUID uses hexadecimal groups of 8-4-4-4-12 characters. The third group's first digit is 4; the fourth group's first digit is 8, 9, a or b. Examples are structural, not pre-generated random identifiers.

Rules and limits

Browser cryptographic randomness only, with no seed, Math.random fallback, timestamps or remote endpoint. Each UUID gets at most eight attempts to avoid duplicates within its batch; global uniqueness is not guaranteed. Generation is cancelable and atomic. UUIDs are identifiers, not passwords, authentication or authorization. Formatting restores the same identifiers when toggled back.
