How to use Weighted Grade Calculator
Enter assessment weights, Graded/Ungraded status and percentage or earned/possible scores. Projection adds explicit hypothetical percentages without changing status. Target chooses one positive-weight ungraded assessment; all other positive-weight rows need known or hypothetical scores. Exports preserve the assumptions.
Worked example
80% at weight 30 and 90% at weight 70 yields 87%. If only the first is graded, current average is 80% but earned contribution is 24 points. Target 85 with 80 at weight 40 and remaining weight 60 requires 88⅓%, rounded UP practically to 88.34%.
Rules and limits
1-50 rows; scores/weights 0-100 with four decimals, earned/possible points up to 1000000 and possible >0. Final/target require weights exactly 100, not 99.99 rounded to 100. Zero-weight rows do not define an average or target variable. Exact requirements above 100 remain impossible even when display rounds to 100. No extra credit, GPA, official grades, curves or pass policy.
