Pace Calculator

Calculate average pace, speed, elapsed time or distance using exact physical conversions and constant-pace cumulative splits.

Your inputs stay in your browser.

Distance >0 up to 1000 km; duration >0 up to 999 hours; pace up to 24 hours per km equivalent. Seconds allow two decimals; duration minutes 0-59. Unit changes retain canonical values; exports identify the active mode and split assumptions. Drafts stay in memory only; refreshing clears them. Processing and exports stay local.

Enter values or try an example, then choose Calculate / Generate.

How to use Pace Calculator

Choose Find pace, Find time or Find distance. Enter the active inputs, with seconds to two decimals. Valid unit switches retain exact canonical metres/seconds. Distance presets supply a distance only. Optional kilometre/mile splits use the same full-precision pace, including a final partial interval.

Worked example

5 km in 25 minutes is 5:00/km and 12 km/h. 5.5 km at 5:00/km finishes in 27:30, with full kilometre boundaries at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 minutes.

Rules and limits

Distance >0 through 1000 km, elapsed duration >0 through 999 hours, pace up to 24 hours/km equivalent. Mile = exactly 1609.344 m. Whole-second displays round half-up with carry; tiny positive durations say less than 1 second. Splits cap at 1000 rows; cumulative time is authoritative over sums of separately rounded intervals. Not fitness advice, physiological validation or a guaranteed finish-time prediction.
