Paper Size Converter

Convert declared paper dimensions, add equal bleed and calculate independently rounded pixel dimensions at a selected PPI.

Your inputs stay in your browser.

Trim dimensions >0 through 10000 mm equivalent, at most four input decimals. PPI integer 1-2400; bleed 0-100 mm (two decimals). Exact canonical dimensions survive unit/orientation changes. No raster is created. Drafts stay in memory only; refreshing clears them. Processing and exports stay local.

Enter values or try an example, then choose Calculate / Generate.

How to use Paper Size Converter

Choose A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal, Tabloid or Custom. Editing preset dimensions selects Custom. Switch physical units without canonical drift; swap orientation explicitly. Enter PPI and optional equal bleed, then review trim/full dimensions and export detailed JSON.

Worked example

A4 at 300 PPI is 2480 × 3508 pixels. With 3 mm bleed on every side, full size is 216 × 303 mm and 2551 × 3579 pixels. Letter at 300 PPI is 2550 × 3300.

Rules and limits

Trim dimensions >0 through 10000 mm equivalent with four input decimals; PPI integer 1-2400, bleed 0-100 mm with two decimals. 25.4 mm/inch, 10 mm/cm; pixels independently round half-up. Very small sizes may round to zero and are flagged. PPI concerns pixels, not printer dots/DPI. Megapixels are not compressed file size; no raster allocation occurs. Print-shop requirements take precedence.
